Join two of Canada’s experts in workplace investigation, employment lawyers Janice Rubin and Chris Thomlinson, authors of “The Human Resources Guide to Workplace Investigations” and learn how to conduct an investigation the right way. In this intensive, hands on workshop, you will learn the Rubin Thomlinson method of conducting workplace investigations.
Content will include human rights complaints and those involving personal harassment and bullying. You will have the opportunity to investigate mock complaints from start to finish and to practice your investigation skills, such as interviewing parties, analysis of evidence and reporting. You will also learn when and what type of investigation is required, how to lay the proper framework for an investigation, how to avoid problems before they happen, how to fix investigations that go off the rails, when to do an investigation internally, and when to do it externally.
