Management Briefing: Implications of Bill 168
Wednesday, 09/12/09 08:00 - 10:30
Location: Holiday Inn Select, 1855 Huron Church Road, Windsor, ON
Organized by the IAPA

What’s Bill 168 and what does it mean for Ontario workplaces? Bill 168, An Act to amend the Occupational Health and Safety Act with respect to violence and harassment in the workplace, will require employers to develop and implement policies and programs to address and prevent workplace violence and harassment. IAPA will be holding a number of Management Briefings and half-day Workshops across the province to help employers and workers understand and prepare for Bill 168 requirements.

The focus of the Management Briefings is to help employers become familiar with Bill 168 and its legal implications. A legal expert will provide legal interpretation of key issues and challenges employers may face, and will be on hand to answer questions. Additional resources will also be provided to further the employers’ knowledge of Bill 168.

The interactive workshops help firms address workplace violence and harassment by integrating Bill 168 requirements into their existing health and safety policies and programs. Participants will be provided with a variety of tools and resources designed to enhance their current programs.

Cost: $225 for member firms; $250 for non-member firms
