VenueGen, is a new an on-demand virtual meetings and events platform still in the beta testing stage, but is up and running www.venuegen.com. It is an intriguing platform in which users can set up accounts, choose an avatar that’s either generic, or based on a photo of themselves and then attend meetings, conferences and other events that have been set up through the VenueGen system.
Using this system, VenueGen insists it’s even possible to set up a job interview in this virtual world. And, that meeting can take place in any virtual setting, even a cafe as pictured.
VenueGen is a browser-based 3D Internet meeting place where business colleagues meet, collaborate, share and present information in board rooms, training rooms, meeting halls and corner cafes. Users simply select a meeting room, upload their content, and instantly enter into a virtual room. Guided by directional voice technology, users immediately locate their colleagues around the room!
Engaged, active and immersed attendees communicate directly, make decisions more efficiently, learn faster, and are more productive than with any online alternative to VenueGen. The days of the boring conference calls, expensive travel arrangements, and complex videoconference systems are over. VenueGen is still in closed beta, but quite a few enterprises and businesses are running pilots to see how they the site can cut travel costs and boost productivity.
One user says, “My clients are scattered all over the world, from the East coast to Europe and Asia. While most of us have never met in person, working together in VenueGen gives us the feeling that we're actually hanging out together! It has allowed me to drastically cut down on travel time and expense and boost the productivity of my business meetings. I love that it's clean and green!”
VenueGen is created by The Venue Network, Inc. (TVN) based in Research Triangle Park, NC. To view a quick VenueGen demo, visit www.venuegen.com.
