Western Canada's Logomotion offers environmentally conscious employers and their staff a number of eco-friendly products. They suggest companies consider adopting the following reward philosophy:
- Reduce greenhouse gas emissions by encouraging biking, walking, and running with eco-friendly promotional products.
- Employ natural solutions: use environmentally friendly clothing such as 100 per cent cotton, hemp, or bamboo.
- Promote recycling: There are many promotional products made from recycled plastics, such as water bottles, key chains, and shopping bags.
- Promote reuse: cloth shopping bags, polycarbonate water bottles, recycled acrylic mugs, and wind-up, no battery flashlights.
- Reduce Waste: by using eco-friendly products we are reducing landfill waste and lowering gas emissions.
The company offers brand names such as HTnaturals, a line of clothing made from natural fibres, such as hemp and bamboo (cotton production is not as environmentally friendly, says Greg Carnforth. Logomotion's founder). Another type of green products comes from Ecorite, which produces bags from post-consumer recycled plastic containers, and donates one per cent of all sales to the World Wildlife Fund.
Logomotion also offers products to support the Breast Cancer Awareness campaign, such as pink ribbons, lanyards, and those flexible, silicon bracelets.
With offices in Saskatoon, Sask., and Nanaimo, B.C., find out more information on Logomotion, at www.logopromo.ca.
